About Us
Gaudhanvantari Ayurveda
Rooted in a profound legacy that began over a century ago, Gaudhanvantari Ayurveda has stood as a beacon of authentic healing and traditional wisdom. Founded in the early 1900s by the revered Vaidyraj Jaggnath Gopaldas and carried forward by Vaidyraj Vishnuprasad Jaggnath, our institution in Siddhpur, Gujarat continues to uphold the timeless values of Ayurveda — harmony, balance, and holistic wellness.
In an era when Ayurveda was learned through the sacred Gurukul system, young disciples would live and study under the personal guidance of their Gurus. It was during this golden period that Vaidyraj Jaggnathji established an Ayurvedic Gurukul within his own farmland in Siddhpur — a place where knowledge of ancient medicine flourished amidst nature. From this very Gurukul emerged remarkable healers such as Ras Vaidya Ramaben and Dhanashankar Pandit, whose dedication carried forward this noble lineage.
Continuing this sacred heritage, our present team — Ras Vaidya Ramaben V. Pandit, Vaidya Padmaben V. Pandit, and Vaidya Ravi Thaker — combines generations of experience with modern diagnostic insight. Specializing in Pulse Diagnosis (Nadi Pariksha), we focus on individualized therapies that restore the natural rhythm between body, mind, and spirit.
Every treatment at Gaudhanvantari Ayurveda is grounded in compassion, precision, and authenticity. We not only aim to relieve ailments but also to rejuvenate the essence of life itself. From herbal formulations and detox therapies to lifestyle counseling, our approach integrates centuries of Ayurvedic wisdom with the needs of modern wellness seekers — helping them rediscover balance, vitality, and true inner peace.
Today, as we continue our journey in Siddhpur — the land that once nurtured our Gurukul — we remain devoted to the vision of our ancestors: to heal humanity through Ayurveda and to keep the eternal flame of natural wellness burning bright.

Our Holistic Ayurvedic Treatments
A complete spectrum of traditional Ayurvedic therapies - blending ancient science with modern care to promote natural healing, detoxification, and inner balance.
Panchagavya Therapy
Panchagavya is considered a supremely pure elixir — pleasing to the heart and a giver of strength and intelligence. It nourishes life, purifies the blood, removes heart diseases, and counteracts various poisons. Without Panchagavya, a person is not permitted to perform a Yajna (sacred ritual). Its glory lies in the fact that simply by consuming it, all sins are believed to be destroyed.
यत्वगस्थिगतं पापं देहे तिष्ठïति मामके।
प्राशनात् पंचगव्यस्य दहत्व ग्रिरिवेन्धनम्॥
All sins residing in the skin, bones, and body are burnt away by the consumption of Panchagavya, just as fire burns fuel.
Panchagavya is also used in treatments like Kati, Janu, and Greeva Basti, which focus on healing the lower back, knees, and neck respectively.
Yagya Chikitsa
आयुर्वेदेषु यत्प्रोक्तं यस्य रोगस्य भेषजम् ।
तस्य रोगस्य शान्त्यर्थं तेन तेनैव होमयेत॥
Yagya Chikitsa is an Ayurvedic healing approach that emphasizes spiritual remedies and divine intervention. It involves sacred practices such as mantra chanting, fasting (Upavasa), gem therapy, and religious rituals to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
This “Divine Therapy” is one of the three main types of Ayurvedic treatments, along with Yuktivyapashraya (rational therapy) and Sattvavajaya (psychological therapy). Yagya Chikitsa aims to align human consciousness with divine will for complete healing and harmony.
Jalaukavacharana (Leech Therapy)
Jalaukavacharana is one of Ayurveda’s most effective bloodletting therapies. The process involves using leeches to remove impure blood from the body.
Word Meaning: Jalauka – the one that resides in water (Leech); Avacharana – process or application.
Leeches, being cool and sweet in nature, are ideal for treating conditions caused by aggravated Pitta dosha. This therapy falls under Raktamokshana, one of the five purification therapies (Panchakarma) described by Acharya Sushruta — Vamana, Virechana, Vasti, Nasya, and Raktamokshana.
Sushruta emphasized the vital role of blood (Rakta) in sustaining life and therefore considered its purification essential for health.
Suvarna Prashan
Suvarna Prashan is a unique Ayurvedic immunization therapy for children aged 0 to 16 years. It enhances immunity, intelligence, concentration, and memory while preventing recurrent illnesses.
It is administered in the morning, daily or on every Pushya Nakshatra, for at least one year to achieve excellent results. This golden elixir strengthens both body and mind, laying the foundation for lifelong wellness.
Shirodhara
The term Shirodhara comes from Sanskrit: Shiro means “head,” and Dhara means “flow.” It is a deeply relaxing therapy in which warm medicated oil, milk, or herbal decoctions are gently poured over the forehead in a continuous stream.
This treatment calms the mind, relieves stress, enhances sleep, and balances the Vata and Pitta doshas, making it a rejuvenating experience for both mind and body.
Akshi Tarpana (Eye Rejuvenation Therapy)
Akshi means “eye,” and Tarpana means “nourishment.” Akshi Tarpana is a soothing and rejuvenating Ayurvedic therapy designed to nourish and strengthen the eyes.
It is beneficial for conditions like macular degeneration, computer eye strain, drooping eyelids, and degenerative eye disorders. In healthy individuals, it serves as preventive care to protect vision, delay age-related degeneration, and improve eyesight.
This therapy deeply relaxes the eyes and surrounding tissues, promoting overall ocular health.
Localized Basti Therapy (Kati, Greeva, Uro Basti)
In this treatment, a ring of herbal dough is placed on specific areas of the body — such as the lower back, upper back, knees, or chest region. Warm medicated oil is then poured into the dough reservoir as prescribed by the practitioner.
This therapy is especially beneficial for Vata-related disorders, as it improves blood circulation, reduces inflammation, and alleviates stiffness and pain.
The procedure is followed by Nadi Sveda (localized steam therapy) for enhanced relaxation and healing.
Dhoomapana (Medicated Smoke Therapy)
जत्रर्ध्व कफवतोत्ध विकाराणामजन्मने
उच्छेदाय च जातानां पिबेत्धूमं सदाआत्मवान्
Dhoomapana is an Ayurvedic practice of inhaling medicated herbal smoke — not to be confused with cigarette smoking. It is a controlled therapeutic process that helps eliminate toxins, balance Kapha, and improve Vata flow.
Dhoomapana is beneficial for treating respiratory problems, sinus congestion, headaches, and even hair loss. It purifies the head region, enhances sensory perception, and brings overall balance to the body and mind.
Naturopathy
Naturopathy is a system of medicine that harnesses the healing power of nature. Its core belief is that the human body possesses an innate ability to heal itself when supported correctly. Naturopathic medicine takes a holistic approach to health care, focusing on the whole person rather than just the symptoms of disease. It emphasizes prevention, lifestyle balance, and the use of natural therapies to promote wellness and restore harmony.

Gaudhanvantari Aushadhalay Gaushala
Preserving the Sacred Bond Between Ayurveda and the Cow – The Source of Divine Healing
The Gaudhanvantari Aushadhalay Gaushala stands as a living temple of holistic wellness — where the ancient Vedic reverence for the cow (Gau Mata) merges with the healing science of Ayurveda. Here, every aspect of care is rooted in compassion, purity, and spiritual consciousness.
Our Gaushala is not merely a shelter for cows; it is a center of healing, sustainability, and sanctity. The cows are nurtured in a serene, sattvic environment, fed with organic fodder, and treated as embodiments of divine energy. Their five sacred products — milk, curd, ghee, urine, and dung — collectively known as Panchagavya, form the essence of many Ayurvedic medicines and therapies prepared at Gaudhanvantari Aushadhalay.
This divine confluence of Gau Seva (service to cows) and Ayurvedic wisdom ensures that each product retains its natural potency, purity, and spiritual vibration. From the creation of rejuvenating tonics and immune boosters to herbal formulations and detox therapies, everything originates from the sacred gifts of these revered beings.
The Gaushala also serves as an educational and spiritual hub — spreading awareness about traditional cow-based agriculture, organic living, and Vedic healing practices. Visitors and devotees experience firsthand the serene power of being in the presence of these gentle beings and witness how Ayurveda and Gau Seva together restore health, balance, and divine harmony in life.
